What is Botox?

Botox, also known as botulinum toxin, is an injectable that temporarily relaxes your muscles. This reduces lines and wrinkles. For example, Botox can be injected into the forehead to prevent frown wrinkles. But Botox is also often used for crow's feet, a gummy smile, drooping corners of the mouth, teeth grinding or excessive sweating.

What are fillers?

A filler is a temporary gel-like filler for the skin. The basis of a filler is hyaluronic acid, a bond that also occurs naturally in our skin. Hyaluronic acid keeps skin elastic and firm. The older you get, the less hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in the skin, causing the skin to lose volume and moisture. You can repair this with fillers. Depending on the quality and brand of the filler, the result lasts 8 to 19 months. Then the body breaks down the fillers. How fast the filler breaks down differs per person and per zone where the filler was applied.

Juvederm fillers

At Aēstec, we work with Juvederm fillers. Juvéderm is the best-selling hyaluronic acid filler worldwide. Juvéderm uses a unique, patented Vycross technology that provides a beautifully smooth and consistent filler. The effects of Juvéderm fillers last for 9 to 24 months, depending on the treatment chosen. Juvéderm fillers have a high level of tissue integration into the skin, which ensures natural-looking results, even when laughing, frowning or angry looks.
